Getting there
The biggest swing is how you travel. An overnight bus from Delhi is the cheapest (ordinary non-AC from roughly ₹700–₹1,000, HRTC Himsuta AC Volvo around ₹1,450, private AC sleepers ₹2,000+). A private cab costs more but carries the whole group door-to-door. Flights to Bhuntar are quickest but limited and weather-prone. (Fares vary by season and operator — confirm at booking.)
Where you stay
Hotel category is the second big lever — budget, 3-star and premium properties differ substantially, and peak dates (Christmas/New Year, long weekends, summer holidays) carry a premium. Twin-sharing brings the per-person cost down.
What you do
Sightseeing by private cab, ropeways and paragliding at Solang, the Rohtang/Atal Tunnel run and permits, and entry tickets are typically extra on top of a package. These are easy to plan to a budget once we know your interests.
How to keep it sensible
Travel in shoulder season, share a room, take the overnight bus for the long leg, and pick a 3-star base — then spend on the one or two experiences you actually care about. Tell us a budget and we’ll build to it honestly.
